For almost 100 years, The Bnai Zion Foundation has been helping those who need it the most - the individuals and families in Israel who cannot fend for themselves. This is especially important in today's world, one of hostility, violence, and terrorism that strikes on almost a daily basis. Bnai Zion - Texas Region is extremely proud to have been a part of the Bnai Zion organization for the last three years and plans to be an even more active component during the years to come.
In the last five years, memberships in the Texas Region have grown from 30 to over 400 members. We attribute this phenomenal growth to the exciting monthly events we have planned dealing with the State of Israel, its people, and its relationships with other Middle East countries and with the United States. We offer a new aspect of Jewish education and current events to the greater Dallas community. Our regional office sponsors periodic Shabbat dinners for our members - always a time for an interesting speaker and lively discussions. Bnai Zion guest speakers are among the most knowledgeable and dynamic experts in their fields, providing our assembled groups with up-to-date, interesting, and vital information not usually found in the general media. Each year, the Bnai Zion Texas Region honors outstanding community leaders at a spectacular evening gala featuring entertainment, a gourmet dinner, and a live and silent auction. Volunteers together with staff generate an annual Israel Independence Day Celebration open to the entire Dallas community, featuring a concert highlighting top local entertainers and youth choirs in a celebration of Israel in song.
"If you've wanted to be involved with a group of people and an organization that's committed and interested in the well being and support of Israel, then you'll find a home as a member of the Dallas Chapter of Bnai Zion. It's one of the few organizations in Dallas that you can actually participate and meet newsmakers from the Middle East through our innovative programming and meetings. I'm proud to be a supporter of Israel and a member of the Dallas Chapter of Bnai Zion."
