For over 100 years, The Bnai Zion Foundation has been helping those who need it the most - the individuals and families in Israel who cannot fend for themselves. This is especially important in today's world, one of hostility, violence, and terrorism that strikes on almost a daily basis. Bnai Zion Texas Region plans to be an even more active component during the years to come.
In the last five years, membership in the Texas Region has grown to over 400 members. We attribute this phenomenal growth to the exciting monthly events we plan dealing with the State of Israel, its people, and its relationships with other Middle East countries and with the United States. We offer a new aspect of Jewish education and current events to the greater Dallas community. Our regional office sponsors periodic Shabbat dinners for our members - always a time for an interesting speaker and lively discussions. Bnai Zion guest speakers are among the most knowledgeable and dynamic experts in their fields, providing our assembled groups with up-to-date, interesting, and vital information not usually found in the general media.
Each year, the Bnai Zion Texas Region honors outstanding community leaders at a spectacular evening gala featuring entertainment and silent auction. The region also hosts a delicious annual brunch to benefit Ahava Village for Children & Youth. Volunteers and staff participate at an annual Israel Independence Day Celebration open to the entire Dallas community.
"If you've wanted to be involved with a group of people and an organization that's committed and interested in the well being and support of Israel, then you'll find a home as a member of the Dallas Chapter of Bnai Zion. It's one of the few organizations in Dallas that you can actually participate and meet newsmakers from the Middle East through our innovative programming and meetings. I'm proud to be a supporter of Israel and a member of the Dallas Chapter of Bnai Zion."

The Bnai Zion Texas region held its annual brunch on Sunday, May 2, 2010 honoring Miriam Creemer and Dr. Tim & Virginia Shepherd for the benefit of Ahava Village for Children & Youth.
The guest speaker from Israel was the president of Ahava, Maj. General (Ret.)
Uri Sagie, and greetings were extended by the director of Ahava, Yoav Apelboim.
The live auction brought in a record amount of funds, which were immediately forwarded to Ahava in Israel for help in completing its emergency shelter.

The 17th Annual Dallas Kosher Chili Cook-Off at Tiferet Israel Congregation – the spiciest event in Dallas – took place on Sunday, March 14, drawing nearly 4,000 tasters, onlookers and enthusiasts who strolled through, sampling the chili and visiting the numerous vendor booths.
Our Texas region hosted a booth to inform and educate the public about our projects and our work. We also raised funds for our projects in Israel by selling assorted products. Our very knowledgeable volunteers helped tremendously.
